NBA 2K To Add Women To My Player Feature

By The Chief

In 1848, 100 people including 68 women signed the declaration of sentiments. In 1920, after almost 150 years of United States independence, women were given the right to vote. In 1972, Richard Nixon signed into law Title IX, stating that women shall not be discriminated upon on the basis of sex. And in 2021, the number one basketball video game in the world will allow women my players for the first time.

The nerds at 2K released their my player feature over 10 years ago, which always been exclusively designed for male players, but as time moves on so do outdated traditions. The newest version of the game will finally include women, and us at Peeled Sports have been sent a super secret, yet to be released transcript of a post game press conference scene. We’re just as excited as you are right now.

Coach: Hey everyone, we’ve got sweet cheeks here ready to answer any questions about the team.

Female MyPlayer: Thanks coach! But, I thought we talked about you calling me that name.

Coach: Haha, yup. See you guys on Wednesday.

Coach exits. Female MyPlayer looks around the room and chooses a reporter in the front row

Male reporter 1: Hey sweetie, I saw you eyeing Seth all game. Do you two have something going on off the court?

Female Myplaer: Umm, no. We’re teammates. We have to look at each other to play the game. Also, please stop calling me that. My name is Debby. Yeah, you in the back.

Male Reporter 2: Debby, you looked great in that outfit today, even though I originally thought it was a strange choice. What do you think you’ll wear next game?

Debby: Seriously? The team jersey. I’m gonna wear the team jersey. Okay, one more. Alice, maybe you can ask a decent question.

Alice: Thanks Debby. I love the sporty outfit by the way. It really suits you. I noticed during the game, there were a lot of loud noises coming from the foot locker employees. What was that?

Debby: sighs I’ll see you guys next game.

All I can really say is, thank goodness for the nerdy, self obsessed, sexist game developers who made this possible.
