The world was rocked on its side this Thursday when the beloved Queen Elizabeth of England passed away. Now normally, it would be the Queen’s son- Charles who would take the throne, but in a shocking turn of events, the NFL has managed to climb to the highest seat of the greatest empire in the world.
The beginning of the NFL season was slated to be the main headline all over the world on Thursday, before the death of the famed monarch. Sadly though, she passed a few hours before kickoff.
“Yeah, we just couldn’t have the attention taken away from us on such an important day,” said NFL commissioner Roger Baddell. “People were paying more attention to the throne. So, naturally, we took it.”
The NFL will now be making some small decisions, or just being a figurehead for the British empire, or just having tea with real foreign leader… We at Peeled Sports honestly are not that sure what the Queen actually does.
Peeled Sports would like to send our condolences to the Prince and his people for the loss of Queen Elizabeth. And we would like to send even more apologies for Roger Baddell. He does not speak for us.
