Fantasy football has become undeniably popular over the last few years. With the advent of sportsbetting, football fans no longer watch the games solely to root for their hometown team. They will now root for various players in the league to score as many fantasy points as possible. They will often root against their own team if it means they can win a matchup in fantasy football. Yes, fantasy footballers are in it for the money, but they’re also in it to earn bragging rights against their friends, and to avoid that dreaded last place punishment.
That is until the Hype Bro Amigos league based out of Michigan University decided to change it up. The prize for winning the league is a whopping $90. All league members are currently in college and can’t afford a bigger deposit. The league has now instituted a punishment for last place. Some will say though, that it’s not much of a punishment.
“Yeah, winning sounds great and all,” said league member Zacharias Poopdeedoo. “But I’m gonna draft Tim Tebow in the third.”
