The Islanders Get One Step Closer To Escaping The Island

By The Chief

It’s been 36 years since Oceanic flight 815 dropped the squad on an island thought to be deserted, and they have been stuck there ever since. Of course, they’ve been learning new things about the island as the years have passed. It is special. When they first arrived, they got hurt and struggled to even get a win. This tore them apart, and they just decided to lay low. They would of course wander around for food, and to explore the terrain. It took almost 35 years, but they finally found other people already living on the other side of the island. One of these people was Barry Trotz, who, to their shock, had discovered a way out.

Trotz explained to the Islanders how they would do it. Train. Learn how to play hockey the island way. Defend the island, so they won’t have to score as much. Use this method to defeat anyone who steps in their way and the way to escape will be made clear.

The Islanders took this to heart, and have been practicing it ever since. And just like that, they defeated the Capitals and got one step closer to finally escaping the prison that has held them for so long. Matt Barzal is pictured above hyping up his teammates who will be going on to play the flyers in a 7 game series on Monday. They are just 3 steps away from breaking out of this hell that they have lived in for decades.
