Only moments after throwing out the first pitch at Nationals Park Thursday, Dr. Fauci received a call from the Giants front office.“I hate to talk this way about my own team,” the giants GM told us. “But have you seen our roster? Our ace is like 60 years old and hasn’t actually pitched in over a year. Fauci threw that pitch about as well as we could ask of a person.” The pitch pictured below hit the ground just over 2/3 of the way to the plate and approximately 5 feet left of center.
“Honestly, the only key to being a good pitcher these days is not giving up homers. He can walk as many people as he wants. No way he manages to give up more homers than the staff we have now. We also know for a fact that he won’t have to take any time off with Covid. He’s the perfect add.”
The above picture encapsulates Fauci’s reaction to hearing the news. He said yes, dropped his phone, and put his hands to his cheeks as if he were a schoolgirl who just got asked to the dance. We are looking forward to Fauci’s first start tomorrow vs the Dodgers.
