The Chargers recently told Colin Kaepernick that he will be given a workout at their practice facility. It’s been almost 4 years since he has played in a professional football game. That being said, the 33 year old has kept in shape throughout his banishment from the league, and in normal conditions wouldn’t have much of a problem getting back in. But these aren’t normal times. NFL owners are very worried about dragons coming and burning down their stadiums or taking their players. We interviewed the Chargers’ owner; Dean Spanos, about the tryout.
“No, obviously we’re not expecting him to slay the dragon. That’s way too much to ask. Just stunning it would be fine. The way to the dragon’s lair is super fun though. I wish I could do it. There are a lot of really cool hoops you get to jump through on the way and there’s this sweet fire that you can just walk right through and you won’t get hurt. I think technically it’s located in hell, but he gets to come back. How many people get to say they’ve been to hell and come back to talk about it? Plus he gets to play with a football the whole way there. I’m so jealous.”
I don’t know about any of you, but that interview convinced me. This quest sounds super fun.
