While pitchers like Shane Bieber and Trevor Bauer have started the season off insanely hot, none have come close to the remarkable stats of undrafted right hander; Covid-19. Before the season I could have told you the Jake DeGrom would be riding high, or even young Max Fried, but I don’t even think baseball’s biggest experts knew about this guy.
Covid-19 entered the season in early March. To be fair, he’s been around for about 5 months longer than the rest of the league, but that shouldn’t take away from his prowess. Anyone who walks up to the plate against the junkballer simply can’t seem to get the bat on the ball. Some players have even given up and have started walking up to the plate without a bat. Others have tried getting their family members to take their at bats for them, but it usually fields the same results. Obviously, Covid-19 took them out easily, as they would usually have no baseball experience whatsoever.
After 6, the virus has recorded 18 outs, but only 3 of them strikeouts. He has been relying pretty heavily on his talented fielders to get him through the game. Only three innings left until the no-hitter is completed. Us at Peeled Sports will try keep the updates coming.
